Teen Parent Workshop
Teen Parent Programs take place at Anderson Road Teen Parent Program and Travelers Rest high school. Topics such as “Your Baby’s Brain,” “Babies Need Books,” and “Nursery Rhymes and Fingerplays” are covered in interactive sessions each week. Activites include:
- The teens participate in learning fingerplays and nursery rhymes with the facilitator’s help.
- Discussion of different types of books for different age children are held.
- Teen moms learn how to interact with their children to encourage a love of books and reading starting from birth.
- Books are given to start home libraries.
